I'm a self-taught artist and portrait photographer living in southern New Brunswick, Canada with my husband and our two daughters. I have over 10 years of photography experience and 18 years experience as a fine artist.
I draw much of my inspiration from my experiences and love for nature, often utilizing my every day and outdoor surroundings as my inspiration for my work.
I tend to mostly use acrylic paint on canvas in my fine art, but I like to explore with other mediums as well, such as watercolour, graphite and ink on paper. I use a lot of layers in my work to build texture and luxuriance.
My goal as an artist is to create beautiful, natural moments through my work as I view them in the world, whether it be through my fine art or through the camera lens.
I am completely in awe of the miraculous ways in which the natural world works and believe that fresh, clean air and time spent in nature are truly rejuvenating for the mind, body and soul. This admiration for the earth reflects in both my art and photography.
There is a romantic side to everything in nature. Whether it be the way the beautiful light from a sunset casts it's light on your face or the way rain looks on a car window in the low light of the evening.
Capturing these special moments for you always ignites joy inside of my heart, and I will always try my best to find the natural moments in between and the more subtle overlooked beauties of life.
